Comparison: Rhinobot vs Digby Drillbot vs Partybot
Welcome to another comparison from MouseHunt Analytics! I’ve been seeing “Rhinobot sucks” and “DDB better than RhinoBot” threads all over the forums, so I decided to use our newly set up database to analyse this., comparing the Digby Drillbot, Rhinobot and Partybot with their most popular bases.. Without further ado, here are the stats:

- Attraction rate = 69.18% ±2.46% C.I.
- Number of catches = 415

The Digby Drillbot is a clear loser in this contest. If you were fortunate enough to have been there when Ronza arrived, your Partybot and Polar Base prove to be a winning combo. If you don’t have the Ronza traps, then the Rhinobot is easily the next best option.
Important: This does not mean that the Partybot is better – this particular combination shows a higher attraction rate, offsetting a lower catch rate. Use the Partybot with caution – its a very viable alternative, but not always the best option.

Thank you, this is very informative!
Are you able (and willing) to do a comparison with Party/Tribal/SB+?
Or is the Catch Rate Estimator up to date?
Cheers, m.
its incredible how the partybot actually outshines the rhinobot once again! im wondering if any1 posted their stats for chrome deathbot.. ..
+_+
I think that Partybot will work better with Aquabase due to its high luck.
Do you have the drop rates for stones at all?
I’m very interested to know how this varies between the high luck vs high power setups..
I’d like to see the numbers of gold pillaged and points set back with each setup…
It’d be interesting that if you can show us about “whether luck affects red box chances”
higher luck = less red box, vice versa
Ummm…..seems to me that if you want to compare traps, shouldn’t everything except the traps be constant? Why did you use different bases? Or if you wanted to cover all the options, shouldn’t you then use all the major bases with all the traps?
@___m: Will do.
@Ames: Each setup is used for a reason – Rhinobot for its power, and Partybot for luck etc.I’ve compared the most common setups as per the stat maximised.
Why not compare using PartyBot with BirthdayCake Base?
yes i agree for luck u should have tried chrome deathbot with aqua base with golden shield, for power you should have tried rhino with tiki
This is absolutely retarded. You use Explosive (weak compared to tribal and polar) with digby….
how about if you are going to compare traps you keep everything consistant except for the trap itself… you sir are a moron.
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately for you, I’m comparing setups. The most commonly used setups in the Dunes. If anyone’s a moron, its you :-)
I like to see how
Partybot/Polar Base/SB+/Derr Dunes
vs
Rhinobot/Tribal Base/SB+/Derr Dunes
Since the attraction rate is improved with SB+… With more power for rhinobot/tribal base, would it yield a better response than the lower power (Partybot/Polar Base)
I’m Using now Crunchy with PB + MAGMA… i think it must be beter than PB + POLAR.
Before the release of magma base I’d be using drillbot and explosive. I don’t have enough points for rhinobot or tribal base.
Why would I get the rhinobot and not the tribal base, or vice versa? That’s just stupid, so any comparison with rhinobot on explosive would be a waste of time.
Also if I could get the partybot then I could get the cheap polar base which would go best with it. So it makes sense to include the polar base.
The method used for comparison here was spot on, perfect. The only thing that was arguably wrong was the title, because it makes it sound like an outright comparison of weapons. And I’m sure, based on the intro, there would be a place for that. BUT this was not a comparison of weapons, it was a comparison of complete setups which people actually use in the real world.
As you can see, I have just been trolled.
I’m sorry, although reply #10 is kinda rude but I agree with his point. When you say “DDB is a clear loser in this contest” it does mean DDB, not DDB/exp setup.. Not everyone use DDB with exp base, some use tribal (because they cant be bothered to pay 1m more for rhino) or aqua. I’d still say it’s a valuable research and I appreciate it, but it is not a comparison of the “most common setup in Derr Dunes”(btw where’d you get the idea that this 3 is the most common setup?) It is simply comparison of “Rhino/tribal vs DDB/exp vs PB/PB in Derr Dunes”.. Insightful, but not complete. Hopefully I will be able to come up with a true “DDB vs Rhino vs PB” research in the next month or so (with Aqua/Gouda, I cant bear the stale with magma)
You should really have used tiki, or at least magma with digby drillbot
Should really have used tiki with drillbot
Thank you very much for your informative analysis of the most common setups people are actually using in MH. It took a lot of time to build this complex database and then perform these analyses, but those of us who understand what you have written can hunt much more effectively, thanks to your hard work. Good on you, mate!
I will make a long run with 526 Crunchies soon :D I am at 326 Crunchies now. Which setup do u want me to use then ?
PB Magma or Rhino Magma ?
I hope I can help ur database when I finish :D I am using ur Mousehuntizer
How well does the HitGrab Rockin’ Horse ( HGRH ) with magma base fare in the derr?
I mean lots of people are saying on the forums that their HGRH is doing better than the DigbyDrillBot ( DDB ). Is this true?
The idea is to compare the BEST setups with each possible trap.
Why would you use Partybot/Tribal if Partybot/Polar is better? (Or now Partybot/Magma is significantly better)
Extreme example:
You have one trap with 0 power and 50 luck
And another trap with 2500 power and 0 luck
Would you compare both with a tribal base? Which gives a big boost to the power trap and almost no boost to the luck trap? Of course not, that’s stupid.
You would use the base that gives a powerboost to the power trap and a luck boost to the luck trap, BECAUSE IT’S THE INTELLIGENT THING TO DO -.-
Thank u for comparing those 3 setups. Although I must say they still do not show true fair comparison. For example, number of samples (number of hunts) should be similar for the setups to be compared fairly. Basic statistics.. Good effort by the way.. We appreciate it..
As long as you’re over the minimum population for a reliable data set, I wouldn’t have thought it matters if the hunt counts differ. Seems to me 1000 and over is more than adequate.
Any chance we can have the Chillbot added to this analysis?
