Elub Shore

The shores of the great Tribal Island is where the Elub Tribe call home. The Elub utilize the resources of the ocean to build tools and shelter. Use of a Hydro trap is highly recommended while hunting for the Elub.

This article is currently out of date with the release of Longtail, we are adding the latest information as we find it.

Overview

The Elub Shore is the Hydro location of the Tribal Isles and it contains a number of mice unique to this location; only a Hydro trap will be truly effective here.
Many of the mice drop Seashells in this location, which are crafted into Shell cheese that can either be used in Cape Clawed or in Elub Shore to attract the three most powerful mice of this location, all of whom drop Blue Pepper Seeds.

Requirements

To hunt in the Elub Shore a Hunter must have:
    A Hunter’s Title of at least Legendary.
    Have crafted the Ocean Navigation Kit.
And it is recommended that a Hunter should have:
    A Hydro Weapon.
    At least Gouda cheese.

Hunting Tips by Larry

Larry I welcome you to Elub Shore, although the mice of the Elub Tribe do not appear to share my sense of hospitality!

The mice of the Elub Tribe treasure wisdom and knowledge over strength and power. There is much to learn by hunting these wise mice. I am sure you’ll find it an excellent place to expand your hunting knowledge and move up in the ranks of MouseHunting! To be successful here you will need either Gouda or SUPER|brie+ cheese and a Hydro weapon. You’ll find that members of the Elub Tribe are resistant to all power types other than Hydro. If you lack a Hydro weapon return to the S.S. Huntington II where you can purchase the Harpoon Gun or Net Cannon. The General Store back in Cape Clawed also carries a blueprint for a very powerful Hydro trap.

You will no doubt quickly notice the mice here carrying Seashells. Mice of the Elub Tribe enjoy the salt deposits found in the shells here and actually grind up the shells to make an oddly shaped cheese called Shell Cheese. Should you manage to craft some be sure you are well prepared as I suspect the most skilled mice in the tribe, including their leader, the Chieftain will quickly attack your trap.

Oh, and one more thing. Do you mind turning down the volume on that Hunter’s Horn? I am going to find a comfy spot on the beach to relax!

Shell is the only cheese to use if you are after the three “boss” mice of Elub.
If you donate for Super Brie then this is the obvious choice to use in this location. Otherwise, Gouda is a much more affordable option.

Goals

Here is a selection of Goals that a hunter may like to achieve:

Collect Seashells

Seashells are required to make Shell Cheese, which is used to attract the Elder Mouse in Cape Clawed, and three mice in Elub Shore, the Elub Chieftain Mouse, Champion Mouse and Protector Mouse.

Seashells are dropped as loot by the Alchemist Mouse, Alnitak Mouse, Mystic Mouse (up to 2), Pack Mouse (up to 3), Scout Mouse, Soothsayer Mouse, Taleweaver Mouse and Vanquisher Mouse, each mouse only drops up to 1 Seashell with the two exceptions mentioned above.

The weaker the mouse is, the less likely they are to drop Seashells, with the Vanquisher Mouse dropping 1 Seashell in almost all cases.

Collect Blue Pepper Seeds

Blue Pepper Seeds are required to make a number of the Havarti Cheese used in the Jungle of Dread and Dracano, they are only dropped by the three mice in Elub Shore that can only be attracted with Shell Cheese.

Blue Pepper Seeds are dropped as loot by the Elub Chieftain Mouse (up to 3), Champion Mouse (up to 2) and Protector Mouse (up to 1).

As with Seashells, the weakest mouse (the Protector) is the least likely to drop Blue Pepper Seeds, while the Elub Chieftain almost always drops at least 1 Blue Pepper Seed.

High power and high luck Hydro traps are highly recommended when hunting these three mice.

Catch an Elub Chieftain Mouse with the Blueprints

The Elub Chieftain Mouse drops the Ancient Frayed Blueprint Piece, which is used for crafting the Ancient Box Trap.

The Elub Chieftain Mouse is only attracted to Shell Cheese, is not commonly encountered and is the most powerful mouse in the location, fortunately it will drop the Blueprints in most cases (unless you already have them in your inventory), so it is an unlucky hunter who has to catch more than two before receiving this loot.

High power and high luck Hydro traps are highly recommended.
