Gilded in Zugzwang’s Tower
I have a theory, and I need some brave individuals to test it and report back on their findings.
It looks like Gilded can attract mice in Zugzwang’s tower, and in most places it has an attraction rate similar to Gouda.
So the theory is that in the tower Gilded could be used as a cheaper (ie. free) alternative to Gouda in the Tower for some of your hunts.

Hunts can be done at any stage in the tower.

Gilded is free, for sure. But the problem is the time and cheese spent in collecting Gilded will definitely weigh out the benefit in saving Gouda… Even is Gilded has a high attraction rate similar to SB+, I don’t think this worth the effort. Personal opinion, though.
I’m not suggesting it’s a valid tactic to hunt for it and use it. Just that if you happen to have some it might be worth using.
while i agree guided cheese is technically free to get it you have to be hunting in low point, profit locations wouldn’t it be more efficient to bunt in a high profit location and buy Gouda?
I agree, I think the full cycle of hunting would earn more gold if you did it that way.
However, if you have unused Gilded in your inventory it might be worth doing.
Have we any data on Seasoned Gouda in ZT? I might try a run with that.
No data yet, before you try any cheese make sure you don’t get the “Good with Whine (check bait)” message on your effectiveness meter.
Seasoned gouda is only used in the winter hunt. It can’t be used anywhere

Hey Paul I tried Glided VS Combat in meditation room it said Strong for Glided and Mild for Combat can you explain this phenomenon?
I think that the only mice attracted with Gilded in the Meditation Room would be Hapless Mice. Against those your trap would be strong, against the masters attracted with Combat your trap would be Mild.

actually you can use brie at lab to farm glided
the rb pots could be used in cats to farm gold, and the glided you get could be used in ZT
I would use gilded if i ran out of gouda and still had a high amplifier.
while it would be horrible preparation to go into the tower without enough gouda, people make mistakes.
submitted a few hunts. tried to see if it could attract the king cos i wasnt having much luck with gouda and checkmate. T.T

Yes, you can copy the whole log, it won’t work if you just paste parts of it.
Thank you for the help. There’s been a change of plans, as I’m going for my Silth mouse first, before charging up my amplifier and rushing into the Zugzwang’s Tower.
If this helps, my friend used 3 Gilded cheese and this was the outcome:
1) His cheese went stale.
2) It attracted a Mystic Bishop, but he was unable to catch it.
3) He caught a Mystic Bishop.
It’s a very interesting idea indeed, i still have some gilded sitting in my inventory. i’ll try it out next tower run.

Hi, Paul. I was wondering when you would like me to start using the Gilded Cheese (For example, when I just arrive in the tower, or, when I catch all the pawns before executing the cheese). I’m currently charging up my amplifier, and can wait a while for your response.

All hunters who want to use gilded in ZT should know that they´ll need to catch a master burglar once more to complete “Zurreal trap research assignment” in Crystal Library, so save some.
this is true.. i’ve finished a mystic run and a technic run less than 6 hours using ZFM/CCB/PROSP/GILDED ..
It works ran out of SB+ on a run and finished it off with gilded got a 2 technic bishops and rooks a technic Queen and technic King using gilded it works.
I’ll find out how effective the gilded is in the next few months. I have a stock of almost 900 from the events A_A
