Haunted Terrortories 2011

Was that a mouse running through the pumpkin patch, or something more sinister? Dare you enter… the Haunted Mansion? There’s only one way to find out what lurks in the Haunted Terrortories: gather up a good stock of ‘Trick’ and ‘Treat’ cheese by visiting your friends’ profile pages, and get hunting! You’ll need to trap mice with both kinds of cheese to reach the final challenge.

Overview

The Haunted Terrortories are a special event location that all but the newest of hunters should be able to access. You get to trick and treat mice in this location, going through three stages with different mice before finally facing off against the Halloween “boss” mouse.
The rewards for this location include the ability to create two new shadow traps.

The first stage is the Corn Maze, filled with indigineous mice in costume. Nearly any trap will do here, but a high luck trap of any will do well against the strongest mice.

The second stage is the Haunted Manor, which introduces some shadow clan mice to the mix. If you’re using a high luck physical trap here you’ll find the shadow mice tricky, so arm your most powerful shadow or arane trap to hunt here.

The third stage is the pumpkin patch, which removes the white, grey and brown mice and replaces them with three forgotten mice. Arming an arcane trap here will probably be the most useful.

Finally you will get to face the three boss mice, at this stage I would recommend your best high luck / high power trap. Against Mousevina von Vermin a Shadow trap will perform best.

If you don’t have arcane or shadow traps, don’t worry. You can complete this event with a physical trap.

To progress from one stage to the next you will need to catch mice using both trick and treat cheese, once you’ve filled up one side make sure to switch cheese so as not to waste any.

More experienced hunters have the opportunity to use Spooky Charms to change the mice they encounter in order to earn better points and gold. When using these charms an Arcane trap is recommended.

Requirements

To hunt in the Haunted Terrortories a Hunter must have:
    A Hunter’s Title of at least Recruit Recruit.
And it is recommended that a Hunter should have:
    Any trap, preferably a Shadow or Arcane trap.
    Candy Corn or Ghoulgonzola Cheese.

Larry Jeepers! I don’t like the look of this place, MouseHunter!

The Haunted Terrortories consist of three unique areas; The Corn Maze, The Haunted Manor and the Pumpkin Patch.

Your bait choice is of unique significance here. By hunting with Ghoulgonzola Cheese, you’ll trick each mouse you catch. By hunting with Candy Corn Cheese, you’ll treat each mouse you catch. You’ll need to both treat and trick mice in your current area to attract mice from the next area.

You’ll have to trick and treat your way through all three areas to catch the Trick Mouse, Treat Mouse and an even deadlier mouse that is currently ruling the Terrortories!

If you’re low on cheese for trick-or-treating, catching Hollowhead mice might earn you more! They can be caught using almost any type of cheese, although they are most often attracted by SUPER|brie+.

Good luck! If you need me, I’ll be hiding behind the tree outside the entrance!

New Mice

The Haunted Terrortories has 3 new mice that you won’t have encountered before, all of which are only encountered in this location. It also contains a number of mice that newer hunters won’t have encountered before, but can be found elsewhere or were in previous events.

Shops

The Haunted Terrortories contains four shops: a Cheese Shoppe, a Trapsmith, a General Store and a Charm Shoppe. All of the items in this location require special loot to be able to purchase, they may also have a gold cost.

Cheese Shoppe

The Cheese Shoppe of the Haunted Terrortories sells a small selection of cheese.

	Gouda Cheese Gouda arrives in crates that float into the Harbour, seemingly from areas off the eastern coast of Gnawnia. It has a very good chance of attracting a variety of mice, and its sharp flavour is a special favourite of the mice who inhabit the islands from where it is assumed to originate. Item(s) Required: 1 Halloween Candy
	Gilded Cheese Sticky-fingered mice can’t keep their paws off this expensive, incredibly heavy cheese, due to its outer coating of purest gold. Eating Gilded Cheese is a bit of a challenge, but Master Burglars don’t care much for the taste– it’s the shine they’re after. Item(s) Required: 2 Halloween Candies

Trapsmith

The Trapsmith of the Haunted Terrortories contains a selection special skins for some traps and a new Shadow weapon that can be upgraded at any point.

	Count Sentinel Skin This shrouded sentinel shows off its stealthy abilities using a spooky cloak to hide its body. With a deep cackle, Count Sentinel springs to action, hitting the mice with his skull… snake… cane-sword? Cost: 50,000 gold Item(s) Required: 9 Cobwebs
	Soul Catcher (1,500 Shadow Power) Power Type: Shadow Power Bonus: 5% Attraction Bonus: 5% Luck: 5 Cheese Effect: No Effect Harnessing the power of a Soulstone, this trap pierces the darkness and seeks out weaknesses in Shadow mice. This shard of Soulstone pulsates slowly, as if longing to be alive. It almost seems to morph and bulge within its platinum setting as it hangs suspended in its web. Perhaps it can be improved if imbued with another powerful stone… The haunting hum of the Soulstone gives this trap a luck bonus exclusively in the Haunted Terrortories. General Store

The General Store of the Haunted Terrortories sells a number of items previously only available from the Prize Shoppe, as well as some which are only available as loot or gifts.

	Radoactive Sludge This toxic waste is the result of Radioactive Blue cheese turning stale. Cost: 1 Halloween Candy
	Rune These magical stones originate from another plane of existence. Little is known about who or what may have brought them into this world. Cost: 2 Halloween Candies
	Simple Orb The Simple Orb is an ideal choice for crafting average powered charms. Cost: 3 Halloween Candies
	Flawless Orb The Flawless Orb balances quality workmanship with quality glass for superior performance. This quality orb makes a perfect vessel for powerful charms. Cost: 4 Halloween Candies
	Scrap Metal These jagged shards of scrap metal resemble the result of a Steel mouse versus a Digby DrillBot. Cost: 4 Halloween Candies
	Stale SUPER\|brie+ The sight of this item often draws a tear or two from even the most steadfast MouseHunter. The magic of this item seems to be empowered by its almost paradoxical existence. Cost: 6 Halloween Candies
	Wooden Crate of Splintered Wood Do you like cinnamon? Well, this crate doesn’t have any in it. But what it DOES have is ten delicious pieces of Splintered Wood! Cost: 2 Halloween Candies
	Cheese Belt Token Pack Contains 6 Cheese Belt Tokens. The School of the Cheese Belt harnesses the magical energy of these tokens to calm their once insatiable cravings for cheese. Unleashing the power within the token will materialize all the cravings it has absorbed and is vital in the process of creating Glutter cheese. Cost: 4 Halloween Candies
	Cheese Claw Token Pack Contains 6 Cheese Claw Tokens. Cheese Claw tokens harness magical jade gems to encapsulate the teachings of the Claw School. 	Crate of Savoury Vegetables Contains 10 Savoury Vegetables. Savoury Vegetables are farmed on the eastern plains of Tribal Isle by members of the Nerg tribe, and are the main ingredient in Gumbo cheese. Cost: 5 Halloween Candies
	Crate of Delicious Stones Contains 10 Delicious Stones. These tasty small rocks are collected by members of the Derr tribe within the dunes of Tribal Isle and are used to create Crunchy cheese. Cost: 5 Halloween Candies
	Crate of Vanilla Beans Contains 15 Vanilla Beans. These rare beans are only available deep within the Jungle of Dread, but their rind imparts a pleasant, sweet flavor to food. As a result, it is one of Gnawnia’s most expensive delicacies and is used in the creation of both Vanilla and Vengeful Vanilla Stilton. Cost: 7 Halloween Candies
	Cherry Potion This glowing red potion turns ordinary Brie or SUPERlbrie+ into Cherry cheese, a sweet, tasty treat that appeals to the ‘berry’ discerning sensibilities of the Cherry Mice living in the Calm Clearing. Cost: 2 Halloween Candies
	Radioactive Blue Cheese Potion This potion converts ordinary Brie or SUPERlbrie+ into Radioactive Blue cheese, the favorite snack of many of the monstrous mice left roaming the Laboratory. Cost: 2 Halloween Candies
	Wicked Gnarly Potion This potion converts Brie or SUPERlbrie+ into Wicked Gnarly Cheese, which is the only cheese twisted enough to draw the attention of the legendary Silth mouse of the Lagoon. Cost: 2 Halloween Candies
	Gauntlet Potion Tier 3 Use this potion on your Marble, Swiss, or SUPERlbrie+ to make a swashbuckling flavor of cheese that the Swordsmice on Tier 3 of the Kings Gauntlet will want to put on a skewer. Cost: 3 Halloween Candies
	Cobweb Looking to make a trap look extra spooky this spooky Halloween season? Trade these Cobwebs at the Trapsmith in the Haunted Terrortories to receive some spooky trap skins or powerful charms! Cost: 30 Halloween Candies

The toxic mixture is one of the few compounds capable of weakening the mice of the Dreaded Horde, giving your trap the upper hand while these charms are armed. Mice Populations

We currently do not have enough results for Mice Populations.

There are two special types of cheese to use in the Haunted Terrortories. Ghoulgonzola is used to progress up the Mice Tricked bar. Candy Corn is used to progress up the Mice Treated bar.

Other cheese will work in this location, but you will not progress to the next stage without using one of those two cheese.

For those who find themselves running short of the special event cheese, you can arm regular cheese in the hopes of collecting a few mice that drop it as loot.
Super Brie is said to be especially attractive to Hollowheads.

Here is a selection of Goals that a hunter may like to achieve:

Collecting Cheese for the Event

There are a number of ways to collect the special cheese required for this event.

You can visit your friends profiles and Trick or Treat, you will get three cheese each time and can do this to 10 friends each day. You can also collect up to 10 free candies from profiles as well.

Your friends can send you Halloween Gift Baskets, which may contain the cheese.

You can purchase supply packs via the Donate button that contain the cheese.

Hollowheads also drop this cheese in the Haunted Terrortories. You can hunt for these using a regular cheese although they are especially attracted to Super Brie.

Catch a Mousevina von Vermin Mouse

Once you have progressed all the way through the trick and treat sides of the progress bar you’ll be able to attempt to catch the Mousevina von Vermin mouse.

Any cheese can be used to catch this mouse, it can also be caught using any weapon, but Shadow Weapons offer the best chance. Arm your best setup and it shouldn’t take too long to catch.

The Mousevina von Vermin drops loot that can be used to craft a new shadow trap. If you are unable or unwilling to upgrade the trap at this stage, you can always do so later. There are no additional limited edition components required.

Once you’ve caught the Mousevina von Vermin mouse your progress resets and you can start the event again at the beginning, however if you caught this mouse using one of the two special cheese you will have an extra completed box for your next run.
