King’s Giveaway
The King’s Giveaway event is happening now! Using Prize Power, you can catch special Prize Mice that give you King’s Credits. With these credits, you can get rare and unique items! Check it out!
Overview
The King’s Giveaway is a special event that allows hunters a chance to catch some of the rarest mice in the game. These mice carry different types of prize, most carry King’s Credits, a special loot that can be used to purchase items you want from the King’s Prize Shoppe. You may be lucky enough to catch a mouse carrying a prize of Super Brie, or even money! Don’t be disappointed if you don’t catch either of the last two though, as they’re very rare and in limited numbers.
The event is spread across most locations in the game to enable all hunters to take part if they wish to, however there are some locations that are excluded to protect the newest hunters. The rarest of cheese won’t attract prize mice either, to prevent you from using it on the wrong type of mouse.
In order to attract a Prize mouse hunters will need to collect “Prize Power”, this isn’t power in the same sense of your trap power and doesn’t help you catch the mouse. Prize Power more like a special form of attraction power, and helps you to attract the mouse.
There’s plenty of ways to get prize power, but it helps to have friends! See below for more details on this.
The higher your prize power, the greater your chance of attracting a prize mouse and the stronger the mouse you might attract. Once you catch one your prize power resets to 0.
With the three new prize mice (Treasurer, Snooty and High-Roller) you can only catch one of these mice every 24 hours. During the 24 hours after a catch you won’t be able to attract this mouse any more. This means that you have a slightly better chance of getting the other mice after getting your first prize mouse, as those other mice won’t be caught and reset your Prize Power.
Mobsters and Leprechauns can only be caught once every 90 days. So if you are lucky enough to get one during the event you won’t be seeing that mouse again for a while.
Any King’s Credits you collect from prize mice can be traded in to purchase items from the King’s Prize Shoppe. Any King’s Credits you don’t use during this event will be available to use in the next event. And none of the items in the King’s Prize Shoppe are limited edition, so you’ll get another chance to purchase anything you’ve missed during the next King’s Giveaway event.
This article will be updated as we learn more about the event. Help us to update it by posting where you were hunting and which cheese you were using when you attracted a prize mouse, as well as how much prize power you were on in the comments below.
If you’re lucky enough to catch one we’d love to hear what loot you got as well!
Check out the official overview here.
Requirements
To take part in the King’s Giveaway a Hunter must have:
A Hunter’s Title of at least
Recruit.
And it is recommended that a Hunter should have:
A strong or lucky Weapon and Base.
Locations and Cheese
Prize mice can be found in all locations except the Meadow. They are equally common in all locations, their rarity depends on your prize power, not which location you’re in.
As such there’s no “best place” to hunt for these mice. Once you have decided which trap and cheese you want to use, travel to a location that gives you the best returns for using that setup.
The following cheese is known not to attract any prize mice. This means if you want to save your prize power for a stronger mouse you should use this cheese.
When you’re ready to catch a prize mouse avoid these cheese.
New Mice
During the King’s Giveaway prize mice can be encountered that are not normally available.

Goals
Here is a selection of Goals that a hunter may like to achieve:
Collect Prize Power
Before you can hunt for prize mice you will need to stock up on some Prize Power, fortunately there’s several different ways for you to do this. Most of them require the help (or presence) of friends who play the game, but there are ways for those who don’t have many or any friends playing.
During the event, the gift of the day is a special “lucky” gift. You can give and receive gifts in the normal way, and any lucky gifts you have received go into the Special tab of your inventory. From there you can use them to increase your prize power.
You can also purchase the Lucky Horseshoe from the King’s Prize Shoppe.
If a friend starts playing the game you will be able to claim a gift of “Beginner’s Luck” from them. This offeres more prize power than any other lucky item in the game, so get recruiting now!
Mice in most locations will drop a special loot of Lucky Coins during the event. These coins can be used in one of two ways.
If you “Rub” the coin you will gain 1 Prize Power, but there is a better use.
If you visit a friend’s profile you will be able to toss the lucky coin into their wishing well, doing this awards both you and them Prize Power. If they have 5 or less prize power you will both receive 5 prize power, if they have 6 or more prize power you will both receive 3 prize power.
Finally if you attract but fail to catch a prize mouse you’ll receive a small increase to your prize power, helping you to have another go at catching it.
Remember that after each catch of a prize mouse your prize power resets, so some strategic use of your luck items will help you to keep the prize mice coming to your trap.
Here’s a list of the known lucky items:
| Item | Prize Power | |

Beginner’s Luck Being in close proximity to Larry the Knight often leaves new hunters with a touch of good fortune. This small vial has encapsulated this talent to be used at your convenience. Opening the vial will increase your prize power! |

Lucky Coin Visit a friend’s profile to toss this old coin into their wishing well for a big prize power bonus! The coin can also raise your prize power by a small amount when rubbed. |

Catch a Prize Mouse!
The first key to success in catching a Prize Mouse is to have some Prize Power. The more you have, the more likely these mice are to visit your trap.
If you want to catch several weaker prize mice, don’t use all your lucky items to increase your prize power straight away, save some for later.
Next you should be hunting in a location where you can utilise your best trap. All the power types (except Parental) are of equal effectiveness against prize mice, so you don’t need to make a choice there. High luck traps will be better for catching the weaker prize mice, while traps with high power or a strong mix of luck and power should be best for the Mobster and Leprechaun.
The more prize power you have the better your chance of attracting the Snooty and High-Roller mice over the Treasurer. These mice have more King’s Credits as loot, so saving up for a bigger catch might be worth more than several smaller catches.
Here are some known ranges of Prize Power to attract the prize mice, please help us out by posting yours in the comments:
| Mouse | Minimum known Prize Power |
Maximum known Prize Power |
Average Prize Power |
|
![]() |
Treasurer | 5 | 189 | 51 |
![]() |
Snooty | 9 | 208 | 88 |
![]() |
High Roller | 32 | 220 | 128 |
Sam Chen has set up a data collection form here as part of a community effort to collect more information on prize mice catches. Please post your catch info there if you haven’t already.
