Conclusion:
The Obelisk of Slumber looks like the better choice, with better catch rates in many cases and higher returns, however it should be noted that the sample size for the Obelisk of Incineration is much smaller, and is more inaccurate as a result.
The results could be affected by the distribution of hunter’s titles, which is not shown here.

  1. Kelley Hoffman says:

Do you have stats comparing for dehydration base?

  2. I checked different mice that exist in the catacombs and for each one the pooflinger best setup tool returned the OoI as the recommended trap.
    How come

  3. that’s one thing that I don’t like from this game. I crafted the OoI because I thought it has a bigger power and luck than OoS so I expect to catch more mice with it, but the result is very disappointed. This article just confirmed my disappoinment.

  4. is it worth it to use 50k more for the OoI cos i read previously that power is more impt ?

  5. OoI seems better with the setup generator. but comparing with spending 50k more to convert it from OoS, is it really worth the money spent?

  6. 50 power, 50K? Also added the amount of cheese that will go stale…

  7. Petition to buff OoI? Yes please.

  8. i think that the ooi even if crafted will not be use for a very long time thus its very hard to get a decent sample size also…. and base on short term gains the rewards will vary from hunter to hunter… which is a luck thing (not to be confuse with the luck stat) buti believe statistically it will be better to use the ooi compared to the oos… i mean more power and luck… the mice you attract should most likely get caught… so maybe more ftas but less pillages still its only a short term trap… 600k and 12 scrap away everyone will switch to ACRONYM… that is like a week in the cats… so i guess no big deal eh…. got money and spare scrap go ahead and craft (btw not that it is that easy to get the coal dropped by the scavenger)

  9. Don’t forget the 10% attraction bonus that OoS offers. In Cats, the attraction rate is really bad, and even in the increase of the power and luck in OoI, it is not able to outweigh the attraction bonus OoS has to offer.

  10. OOS!!!!
