Helping you to hunt more effectively

Radioactive Blue Research

We are currently looking into the effects of using Radioactive Blue in unusual locations.

How you can help: We’re asking volunteers to conduct 10 hunts with Radioactive Blue in a location other than the Laboratory, Mousoleum and Catacombs, then submit the logs to the survey.

If you are willing to help, we recommend that you use a trap with a high cheese effect, as the attraction rates are generally very low.

Here are the results we have so far:

Location Hunts Adjusted Attraction Rate
Acolyte Realm 189 24.57%
Bazaar 46 26.09%
Calm Clearing 0 N/A
Catacombs 51,484 77.33%
Dojo 98 8.16%
Forbidden Grove 185 52.48%
Great Gnarled Tree 122 15.28%
Harbour 10 0.00%
Laboratory 1,747 93.98%
Lagoon 93 6.56%
Meadow 85 10.59%
Meditation Room 46 0.00%
Mountain 10 15.79%
Mousoleum 27,779 91.55%
Pinnacle Chamber 18 0.00%
Ronza’s Traveling Shoppe 0 N/A
S.S. Huntington II 0 N/A
Town of Digby 30 10.00%
Town of Gnawnia 40 5.42%
Training Grounds 220 8.64%

Many thanks to all who have participated.

  1. Some new hunts from GGT sent ;)

  2. This is pointless. The only point for it is in cats, moz and MAYBE lab.

  3. This is the closest discussion to discern the best place to create radioactive sludge.
I want no attraction and for RB stale as soon as possible. Since I do not want to be looted by powerful mice, I am ruling out the Furoma levels.
From the figures so far, it looks like Harbour and Lagoon.
I found Lagoon attraction was 50% and kept getting decent Mice, but no stales.
Now that I found this thread, I will try again and send my findings.
(I still need 14 RadioSludge for my new trap..)

  4. Apologies for the newb question, but is there a FAQ on how to submit my log? I saw the invite, but it just mentioned using [...]
And I need to know what that is and how to use it. Where do I email or do I submit it somewhere on this site? Thanks I appreciate your help and want to return the favor.

  5. Yes, there’s an easy way now.. Perhaps I should make a guide on it someday. Anyways… For now, follow these instructions:

    With Mousehuntizer:
Click both red buttons on the page.
    Click “Fling the Poo”.
    Click Submit.

It will automatically redirect you to a “finished” page.
    * If you have traveled or changed your setup since your log has started, you have to manually fill the drop-down boxes here. Just click on the box, then click on the right choice. *

    Without Mousehuntizer:
Post your logs into the box.. blah blah blah…
    Click Fling the Poo.
Scroll down a bit to the part that says: “DATA COLLECTION!: Statistics are being collected from Hunters to be used in MouseHunt Analytics and various tools.. Please follow the instructions below to participate:”
    Fill in the drop-down boxes.
    Click Submit.

Hope this helps.. I can put some images up if you need.

  6. I think attraction of the trap affects the results too. Is it possible to sort results according to attraction? since I have been attempting to stale my RB in different locations, only to have a 6 hour streak of not a single FTA (but plenty of FTCs), only to realize my set-up of tacky glue and magma’s 45% attraction may be behind this.

  7. Has any one tried using ancient in mousoleum? I am using it now since I hate waiting for the rb pots
