Overview

The S.S. Huntington II sails out on the open seas and is home to a number of new mice that drop loot used to gain access to the Tribal Isles.

This location offers the first opportunity for a hunter to purchase a Hydro Weapon.

Requirements

To hunt in the S.S. Huntington II a Hunter must have:
A Hunter’s Title of at least Legendary.
Have crafted the S.S. Huntington II.
And it is recommended that a Hunter should have:
At least a decent Physical Weapon.
    At least Brie cheese.

Hunting Tips by Larry

Welcome aboard, MouseHunter!

What a lovely job you did constructing this vessel. . . it’s a pity that it’s overrun with mice already.

If you want to clean up a bit, you should know that many of the mice here live in the open water. As such, you will find them especially weak to Hydro traps, which you can buy from the Trapsmith onboard.

If you’re looking to sail far off into the ocean, you’ll need to build yourself an Ocean Navigation Kit. I’m sure some of the mice here will have stolen the necessary components at some point or other…

New Mice

There are 13 new mice in the S.S. Huntington II that a hunter won’t have encountered before, most of these mice can only be found in this location.

Mice Populations

We currently do not have enough results for Mice Populations.

Brie would appear to a good all round choice in this location, gold returns are quite low so other cheese are not as cost effective.

Goals

Here is a selection of Goals that a hunter may like to achieve:

Catch the three mice with the parts to the Ocean Navigation Kit

There are three mice which drop loot that enable you to craft the Navigation Kit:
Bottled Mouse
The Bottled Mouse is a fairly common and moderately powered mouse that drops the compass.
A Hydro trap armed with any cheese should enable you to catch this mouse fairly quickly.
Captain Mouse
The Captain Mouse is a fairly common but tough mouse that drops the telescope.
Hunters will probably have to wait a while to catch this mouse.
    Shipwrecked Mouse
The Shipwrecked Mouse is a common and relatively weak mouse that drops the sextant.
This mouse is the weakest and most common of the three, but the time you have caught the other two mice you probably will have caught this mouse as well. If not, just keep hunting for a little longer.

If you are having trouble attracting any of these mice, Super Brie cheese should increase your attraction rates.

Catch a Cook Mouse

Normally, you won’t even see this mouse unless you use Super Brie, and if you do, you’re very, very lucky.

However, after arming Super Brie this becomes a relatively common mouse to encounter, so just keep using Super Brie until you attract one.

Catch a Shelder Mouse

This mouse is the bane of many a hunter, and if you do decide to hunt for this one, expect days or possibly weeks of frustration.

Because this mouse is so rare a lot of myths regarding how to attract it have arisen. Some of these were proven methods in version 2, but now do not work in version 3.

At the moment it seems that Brie is as good as any of the more expensive cheese in attracting this mouse. But even then you could be looking at using hundreds of pieces before you do finally encounter one.

Fortunately, once you do encounter it you should be able to catch it with a hydro trap and decent base – don’t be tempted to switch to a non-hydro weapon with higher attraction.

Apart from that the only advice left is patience. Good luck with this difficult task.
