Tier 8 (King’s Gauntlet)

Tier 8 (King’s Gauntlet)

This many-storied tower is the King’s personal challenge to MouseHunters everywhere: anyone who can reach the top is among the kingdom’s elite. The King’s Gauntlet works on a tier system, with Hunters advancing to the next floor by hunting with cheese that they collect on the current floor. The Gauntlet is meant as a challenge for hunters of all skill levels, but in order to ascend to the very top, a Hero’s rank will come in handy.

Goals

Here is a selection of Goals that a hunter may like to achieve:

Catch the Eclipse Mouse

Tier 8 of the King’s Gauntlet is home to the final mouse in this location – the powerful Eclipse Mouse.
The Eclipse Mouse is weakest against forgotten weapons, such as the Ancient Box trap, hunters are advised to pair this with a lucky base.
Despite its power, the Eclipse is very easy to catch with the right setup, high power bases such as the Tribal Base have been known to miss this mouse, so high luck bases are recommended.
This mouse drops some very nice rewards in terms of points and gold.

Thank you to all who have contributed so far and will do so in the future.

This article contains information that was accurate up to MouseHunt v3.0g

  1. The problem with eclipse mouse is not in how you catch it, but the journey to getting the tier 8 cheece

    • Angel Shadowsong says:

So you mean to say…it can be caught easily?

I skipped Kings Gauntlet as i got bored after finishing my tier 6 cheese with no tier 7 loots

  2. Getting this cheese necessary to catch the Eclipse is extremely tedious, it took me three runs up and down the gauntlet before I realized that I don’t even have a forgotten trap or a trap with enough power and luck to try and catch it. Advice from me would be to get a forgotten trap (only one in the game so far, the ancient trap box) and get a crapload of tier 2 cheeses, because as you move up the Gauntlet, the total cheese supply you have usually decreases at a 30-40% rate (from my experiences, higher percentage if you have lower drop and catch rates) Assuming my calculations are right and you do have adequate traps to catch all mice you attract, if you start with 200 tier 2, you will only have enough potions for 120-140 tier 3′s, then only 80-100 tier 4′s, 50-70 tier 5′s, 25-45 tier 6′s, 15-30 tier 7, and 10-20 tier 8′s. These numbers are really fudged because I’m being lenient with my calculations. When I actually stated with 200 tier 2, I got stuck on tier 6 with only 10 cheeses of that tier.

  3. Got through the Gauntlet with 100 T2 cheese (lucky to get 1 T8 potion on my last T7 cheese).

Now I have 500 T2 cheese sitting. What a waste of SB.

  4. I got nearly a thousand T2 cheese and counting

  5. Madroxmultiply says:

I used maybe a thousand or more t2 cheese already. im at tier 6 with 48 cheese. hoping it’s gonna make it… or else im really gonna be fed up with the place… almost as frustrating as trying to get balack. but balack is by far the worst imho.
